Gala Bingo and The Chase


The challenge for Gala Bingo was to stand out and cut through the cluttered market of the bingo world and reach a daytime audience.


Gala Bingo were looking for an always on proposition during daytime TV that draws in the gaming community and allows people to play along at home.


The idea was to play on people's love of general knowledge by using the chasers in the Gala Bingo idents in a tongue-and-cheek manner.


Gala Bingo acquired the licensing rights to bring the Chasers into their world and become a part of the bingo community via the creation of a bespoke Chase bingo game, which was brought to life by sponsorship idents also featuring the Chasers.

They also launched a real-life 60 minute general knowledge quiz throughout the airing of The Chase, which was live streamed on their Facebook account and received high engagement from the bingo community.

In order to reward Gala Bingo’s community of bingo players and unite the show with their brand, competitions were created, which included prizes such as VIP set tours of The Chase, including a meet and greet with Bradley Walsh and tickets to watch the show being filmed. Alongside this, winners were wined and dined and given gift bags as a special treat.
